As the Chair of the North West Pentathlon Hub, I'm known for my unwavering commitment to rules, policies and good governance. With extensive experience as a Swim Judge and Official, I'm dedicated to ensuring everything runs smoothly and fairly.
I'm excited to bring my knowledge and passion for the sport to the Hub, and when I'm not involved in pentathlon, you'll find me enjoying open water swimming. I look forward to contributing positively and making a difference!
I am 100% committed to developing athletes from any age and ability to experience both challenge and enjoyment through learning, training and refining the skills of pentathlon. It is such an exciting and dynamic sport with so many opportunities to engage individuals and families.
My background is completing a PhD in sport science and coaching, supporting elite athletes from a variety of sports and I hold many coaching badges most recently gaining my Level 2 in British Obstacle Racing.
I started at the hub on the sidelines watching my children. I really don't like to miss out so started joining in (coached by Nic, who is hard to refuse!). It's the highlight of my week training with fellow hubbers and my children.
I am also treasurer and as a qualified chartered accountant I felt I could support the hub in this position. To sum me up I would say; family focused, mum of three, love the outdoors and giving things a go and it's fun to be competitive!
My son joined the hub 10 years ago as a young athlete. We saw how amazing the Hub was and still is and I'm so proud to be part of the Hub's journey and now look after the membership duties. A little bit about me - I live on the edge of the Lake District and take advantage of the countryside on my doorstep with plenty of dog walks with our crazy spaniel Tilly.
Almost 30 years ago I was a founder of the North West Biathle Hub, and I am so happy that my daughter Dr. Nic Robinson (Head Coach) took it forward to the amazing North West Pentathlon Hub we have today.
I was a PE teacher and Head of PE for 35 yrs before moving into special needs, a passion of mine as I have my own daughter Fiona who has SEN and she was the reason why we introduced Para Biathle into our Hub. I became a Deputy Headteacher for many years and I am now retired!
